Steve will be whipping up something special for you!
 |
Steve
Knight has been reviewing Southern California restaurants for
well over two decades. His love affair with food and wine started
in 1976 when he was assigned to co-host an afternoon food and
dining radio
program with restaurant
critic Paul Wallach in Los Angeles on KIEV, 870/AM. In 1993 Wallach
left the station and Knight took over as the solo host of Steve
Knights Broadcast Bistro. In 1997 his show was one of the
three programs in the nation to be nominated as "Best Radio
Show On Food" by the prestigious James Beard Foundation. |
Over
the years, Knight has interviewed virtually every major culinary
personality, including Julia Child, Wolfgang Puck, Paul Prudhomme,
and Emeril Lagasse, to name only a few. He also serves on a select
committee of judges for the Los Angeles County Fair's annual "Wines
of the Americas" competition. He has been frequently asked
to judge many culinary events and for over a decade he served
on an elite panel of judges for the annual World Championship
Chili Cookoff.
Steve is also the restaurant reviewer for the Inland Empire edition
of The Penny Saver. He served as Associate Editor for Gayot's
LA Restaurants, 1999 edition, Contributing Editor to Gayots
LA Restaurants, 1998 edition, and contributing editor to Gayot's
Best Of Los Angeles and Southern California, 1998 and 2000 editions.
A veteran broadcaster with over 36 years on the air in Southern
California, Knight has also interviewed major personalities from
many walks of life, including such well-known figures as Carl
Sagan, Dr. Nancy Snyderman, and the late William F. Kunstler.
He has also interviewed many major entertainers, including Mel
Torme, Frankie Laine, Vicki Carr, Rick Nelson, James Darren, and
many others.
In the pages of this web site, Steve will share reviews of restaurants
and dining trends, editorial comment, interesting food and wine
facts, and interviews with food journalists and restaurateurs
from around the world. He will also discuss and review wines
in the wine
section of "easycook.com" He also looks forward to hearing
from our readers and sharing their comments in these pages.
