Sage (Salvia Officinalis)
|
|
This is a perennial that reaches a height of 2 feet with blue flowers. It is best grown in a light, sandy soil in full sun. Sage is an evergreen shrub that spreads and may be started from seed in spring, by cuttings, or pegging a leggy branch on a mound of soil, that will cause it to root, and can then be severed from the parent plant. The leaves are dried for later use with meats, fish, and some vegetable dishes. |
