Lemon and Limes
|
Lemons and Limes: Both are too tart to eat out of hand, but both the most wonderful flavor accents. Good for sprinkling on fruits such as peaches, bananas and nectarines to keep them from darkening. Add a squeeze of lemon or lime to cool drinks; mix with oil or sour cream for salad dressing. Garnish soups and entrees with thin slices. How to Choose and Store: Choose citrus fruit that is firm and heavy for its size. Store in a cool place or in the refrigerator. |
