Grapeful of Ideas
|
Gorgeous as they are in the fruit bowl, grapes will give many cooked dishes a truly distinctive flavor and texture contrast. Try these: To curried chicken or meats add a cup of halved and seeded grapes just before serving. Heat thoroughly. Fish and grapes are perfect complements. Add halved grapes to cream sauces served with fish. Try topping fillets of halibut with halved seedless grapes, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1/4 cup white wine. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Grapes in salads? Or course! Cabbage slaw takes on new excitement with the addition of halved and seeded grapes of any color. Toss your favorite kind of grapes in a salad with orange slices, sliced walnuts, shredded coconut and chunks of pineapple. Tropical! |
