Red Apple

Apples and Recipes

How to Choose and Store:

Choose apples that are full-colored for the variety, firm to the touch. Avoid those that have bruises, skin breaks, or shriveled skin. Many apples are considered all-purpose, others better for cooking or eating out of hand. Have a little fun and experiment with ones which are unfamiliar to you. Some of the green colored ones are just great for eating fresh! Keep a few apples in the fruit bowl, but store the rest in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Apple Quickies

Sauté slices or wedges of unpeeled apples in a little butter, turning
frequently until tender. Divine with sausage and waffles!
Sliced or cubed apples, sprinkled with lemon juice, make fresh fruit salads,
cabbage slaws, and cheese dessert trays something pretty special.
