Apples and Recipes
|
How to Choose and Store: Choose apples that are full-colored for the variety, firm to the touch. Avoid those that have bruises, skin breaks, or shriveled skin. Many apples are considered all-purpose, others better for cooking or eating out of hand. Have a little fun and experiment with ones which are unfamiliar to you. Some of the green colored ones are just great for eating fresh! Keep a few apples in the fruit bowl, but store the rest in the refrigerator until ready to use. |
