Bread Pudding with Whiskey

bread meets its salvation when it is baked with
raisins and vanilla in
an egg-rich custard.
To make pudding:
1. In a saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, and half-and half. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. 2. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let cool and add the whiskey. To serve, spoon the Whiskey Sauce over each serving. Yield: 12 to 15 servings. |
